SCOTTISH football giants Celtic will play the Imps tomorrow.
The team, one of only five British teams to have won the European Cup, are expected to draw around 3,000 supporters into the city for the pre-season friendly.
And the game should give a muchneeded boost to the pubs, shops and restaurants in the city economy.
For Imps manager Chris Sutton, the game is a chance for closure - four years after he was forced to leave Celtic in a contract wrangle.
The Scottish club is expected to bring down some big-name players for their first game in Britain this season, among them new signing Joe Ledley.
"They have a great set of fans and the club has a lot of history," he said.
"They are European Cup winners after all, and their fans are passionate, so there should be a great atmosphere."
Chris Sutton spent five seasons at Celtic as a player and has close links with Neil Lennon, the new manager at the Scottish club.

The force is not anticipating serious trouble but local traders are hoping the visit will give business a shot in the arm.

Among them will be city councillor Neil Murray, a Celtic fan whose second team is Lincoln.
"It's a great treat for Celtic fans around here," he said.
"The fans are passionate and always have a great time, wherever they go."
